Murrumbidgee Landcare, together with NSW Farmers, are presenting a free workshop on carbon farming for land managers. Come along to learn what carbon farming is all about, and what opportunities are available for land managers! The workshop will feature information sessions from experts in the field, along with a discussion session for all your questions to be answered.
The workshop will feature:
- David Eyre (General Manager of Research and Development, NSW Farmers) talking about how carbon farming works, practical steps for getting involved and agronomic considerations
- Michael Rooney (Greening Australia) talking about vegetation-based carbon schemes, with practical examples
- Sam Archer (Vice President of NSW Farmers, and Nuffield scholar) presenting a local farmer's perspective on carbon farming, with practical examples of how he balances production and conservation on his own property.
The workshop will be held at the Gundagai Services Club (254 Sheridan Street Gundagai) on Thursday 14th June, from 1.00 to 4.00 pm.
For catering purposes, please RSVP by Friday 8th June to David Banham (NSW Farmers): (02) 82 511 847, or email@example.com.
