Funded by a grant from the Australian Government Envirofund, this project aims to develop community skils for evaluation of Natural Resource Management (NRM) outcomes and involve young people in community Landcare and the analysis of impacts upon biodiversity. Landcare community members will work with local school children and consultant scientists to monitor and evaluate riparian habitat quality in response to on-ground works.
In Wagga Wagga, infants from Wagga Wagga Public School have formed a Landcare Group and begun waterbug monitoring in the Wollundry Lagoon near their school.
At Cootamundra, local organic farmers David and Mary Booth have an area of their property affected by gully erosion and salinity.

Students from Years 3 through 10 at Sacred Heart Central School in Cootamundra have commenced rehabilitation works and will monitor the site as part of their studies for years to come.
