Title: Bicentennial Park Wildflower and Orchid Protection

Year: 1998-1999
Description: The objectives of project are to raise public awareness of sustainable land management and the importance of biodiversity through community consultation; to focus attention on grassland and wildflower community, promoting their presence by preparing a flowering calendar and establishing a (natural) heritage walk/trail.
Title: Native Fish Restocking of the Queanbeyan River
Funding: NHT NRM Program
Year: 2002/03
Description: Assist Queanbeyan City Council with the next round of funding for their Native Fish Stocking Program of the Queanbeyan River. Landcare encourages this program as it aims to reintroduce and monitor native fish stock biodiversity in the river. This program has been running since 1998 with two formal Fish Monitoring Surveys already taken place and 25000 Native fish have been released. The recommendation from the last monitoring survey suggested that a further 5000 Murray Cod to be stocked in 2003 - 2004 this is what the funding application will be used for.
Title: Gale Precinct Rehabilitation and Reinvigorating Queanbeyan Landcare

Description: This Interim Gale Precinct Management Committee project will collect native grass understorey and tree seeds for direct seeding rip 6km of hard packed dirt roads and tracks which will be direct seeded and divert water from numerous nick points to halt erosion. The project will commence eradicating weeds and will attempt to reinvigorate the membership of Queanbeyan Landcare.
