Title: Murrumbidgee Community Support Program
Program: National Landcare Program
Description:
This program provides support for the community management of natural resources in the Murrumbidgee catchment. It creates a support team who works to a common goal of community driven landscape change. It will create on ground change and enable the community to achieve the targets of the Murrumbidgee Catchment Board, the NSW Salinity Strategy and the National Action Plan on Salinity and Water Quality. It will employ 12 support staff, with each staff member managed by a sub catchment landcare network. It will facilitate the effective management of community owned on ground works; increase the application of the landcare ethic; create active participation in the community/government/industry partnership and enhance the capacity of the community to sustainably manage natural resources.

Title: Support Program for Community/Landcare Activities Within the Murrumbidgee Catchment
Program: National Landcare Program
Description:
This project provides support for approximately 150 landcare groups in the Murrumbidgee Catchment downstream of the ACT. It will create on ground change in line with community and Total Catchment management goals asa result of coordinated activities between all groups and agencies involved in natural resource management. It will ensure targeted investment to enact the Murrumbidgee Catchment Action Plan in the most efficient manner. The project will employ 8 coordinators. and incorporates an additional 4 continuing coordinator projects. The individual projects have been developed and will be managed by district landcare networks. It aggregates the common objectives of 8 individual applications to coordinate on-ground actions.
